What does the product contain?
Mek lingonberries are freeze-dried as whole berries
Despite the sour taste, there are a lot of sugars , up to a maximum of 10-12%. Of the various sugars, fructose is the most abundant, which is known to be the sweetest sugar. In addition to sugars and acids, ripe lingonberries also contain proteins and minimal fats. Among the micronutrients, lingonberries contain various vitamins, the most important of which is vitamin C, although it is relatively small compared to other berries, and lingonberries also contain carotenoids and bioflavonoids. Benzoic acid is the most well-known ingredient in lingonberries. Benzoic acid and its salts have an effect that destroys microbes as well as suppresses their activity. The acid in question and its sodium, potassium and calcium salts act particularly effectively on microbes at low pH values, i.e. in an acidic environment.
How to use it?
No sugars or sweeteners have been added to Meki's freeze-dried berries and fruits. This makes our freeze-dried popsicles a tasty and healthy alternative to high-calorie candies and chocolates
Freeze-drying has been used in the processing of lingonberries, which means that all the valuable nutrients of the fresh fruit remain. Because of this, meki fruits are a good way to get useful nutrients in a bite or to add them to your baked goods instead.
